(Surface Water Management Licensing Reviewer)

Salary Range $51,319 - $79,952 per year (doq*)

 

The Environmental Licensing & Building Permitting Division is seeking a qualified Engineer to join their team.  A current State of Florida Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required.

 

This position is primarily responsible for review and processing of surface water management license and environmental resource permit applications. Knowledge of SFWMD, FDEP and Broward County rules and regulations regarding surface water management and environmental resource permitting is preferred. Applicants should have a background in the technical aspects of surface water management including familiarity with required/provided water quality, runoff, stage/storage, and discharge computations and knowledge of design, construction and operation of surface water management facilities. Surface water modeling experience is also preferred (ICPR, Cascade, SWMM, RC4).

REQUIREMENTS: CURRENT FLORIDA ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.

Position also requires graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related field, and two (2) years experience in professional engineering work in surface water management licensing and/or environmental resource permitting; or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.

Roadway Design Engineer

Roadway Engineer:

Our Client located in West Palm Beach, has an opening for a Roadway Design Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the leading Engineering firms in Florida. Engineers should have PE or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. A candidate could also work from Jacksonville or Orlando as well.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and final design documents for major transportation projects.

• Preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates for highway, roadway, and other public works improvement projects.

• The Transportation Design Engineer will prepare geometric layouts, profiles, cross sections, grading designs, retaining wall layouts, drainage calculations and plans, sewer and water improvement plans.

• Some supervisory oversight and/or coordination with designers and intern engineering staff will also be required for implementation of quality control reviews and procedures for elements of work under their supervision.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in Roadway/Transportation Engineering.

• Experience with FDOT requirements and standards.

• Engineering Degree preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.

• FL PE registration or the ability to obtain it within 6 months. We also require proficiency with Microstation and/or Geopak.
