(Surface Water Management Licensing Reviewer)

The Environmental Licensing & Building Permitting Division is seeking a qualified Engineer to join their team. A current State of Florida Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required.
This position is primarily responsible for review and processing of surface water management license and environmental resource permit applications. Knowledge of SFWMD, FDEP and Broward County rules and regulations regarding surface water management and environmental resource permitting is preferred. Applicants should have a background in the technical aspects of surface water management including familiarity with required/provided water quality, runoff, stage/storage, and discharge computations and knowledge of design, construction and operation of surface water management facilities. Surface water modeling experience is also preferred (ICPR, Cascade, SWMM, RC4).
REQUIREMENTS: CURRENT FLORIDA ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.
Position also requires graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related field, and two (2) years experience in professional engineering work in surface water management licensing and/or environmental resource permitting; or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
