The ASCE Broward Branch 26th Annual Bowl-a-thon will be held on Saturday August 23 2014, at Sawgrass Lanes in Tamarac.  Gather your teams and get fired up to have some fun! The proceeds for this event will go towards scholarships to assist bright and goal oriented students in Broward County.

Project or Senior Water Resources/Stormwater Engineer

E Sciences, Incorporated has an immediate opening in our Fort Lauderdale office for a Project/Senior Water Resources/Stormwater Engineer. The candidate for this position would be responsible for stormwater management, drainage design, hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality modeling and environmental permitting in accordance with FDOT, water management districts and local municipal standards.


• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an Engineering discipline

• Florida Professional Engineer registration

• 5 to 10 years work experience within the field of civil engineering, specializing in water resources/stormwater design specific to municipal stormwater improvements projects in Florida

• Strong written and oral communication skills with clients, co-workers and regulators

• Project management experience and organizational skills

• Strong computer skills, at minimum full working knowledge of MS Office products, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and familiarity with GIS

• Knowledge of engineering models such as ICPR, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS

• A desire to work on variety of hydrologic restoration projects: development of biological BMPs, urban filter marshes, etc.

• A desire to work on urban stormwater solutions: lake outfalls, isolated residential flooding, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling projects, and other flood control and/or water quality improvement projects

• A desire to work with large-scale and small-scale water quality improvement projects including: water quality master plans, needs assessments, water quality models, water quality monitoring, and coordination with stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project experience with municipal clients

• Engineering specifications preparation

• Construction administration experience

• Watershed delineation and modeling experience

• Preparing permit packages for SJRWMD, SFWMD, SWFWMD, FDEP, and USACE

• Experience with Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) Permits, Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs), Basin Management Action Plans (BMAPs) a plus
